JEH has a table to promote Hibiscus, and Exotic Hibiscus Nursery Owner and Grower Curt Sinclair had a Hibiscus Plant Sale booth next to ours. ------------------------------------------------   JEH FIELD TRIP Wednesday, March 6, 2013 Naples Botanical Gardens 4820 Bayshore Drive Naples, FL 34112             --------------------------------------------   January 22, 2013 Field Trip to Powell's Nursery, 6366 Elliott St, Punta Gorda,      followed by lunch,      Then to the Pottery Express Bamboo Nursery 25370 Zemel Rd, Punta Gorda.       Thank you to, Paul Zinszer, our Field Trip Co-ordinator for arranging another great Field Trip!   ********************************* December 1, 2012 The JEH Annual Christmas Party was held at Famous Dave's in Ft Myers, where our members came together to bring fresh blooms for our Hibiscus Tree, and share in much fun and laughter!         We enjoyed some great food,          and there was even a visit from Santa and his Favorite Reindeer, to help Exchange White Elephant Gifts.                    What fun gifts they were, and even Santa and his Favorite Reindeer received a gift!  ____________________________________________   FAREWELL August 17, 2012 Members met at the home of Gil and Helen Gilinsky to wish them well as they prepare to move from their Sanibel home to Colorado to live near one of their daughters. They have been faithful JEH members, and we are really going to miss them.       APRIL 24, 2012 SPRING FIELD TRIP to LaBelle, Florida to tour Curt Sinclair's Exotic Hibiscus Nursery Curt took us through his green houses and showed us his Butterfly inventory and the Plants that attract them, and his green houses where he roots, grafts, and hybridizes Exotic Hibiscus Plants.      Curt is a Past AHS National President, and a Member of our JEH Chapter. After the tour, Carl Powell, also a former AHS National President, joined Curt and our group for lunch at Forrey Grill in Downtown LaBelle.     ___________________________________   APRIL 14, 2012 ANNUAL PICNIC Due to an unexpected brisk wind coming off the river, we moved our Annual Picnic from Jaycee Park in Cape Coral to the home of our Chapter VP, Barbara Oster, who lives nearby. We were able to enjoy the day's planned activities of a Potluck Picnic Lunch, an afternoon of socializing, and a Grafting Demonstration by JEH member, Paul Zinszer.          _______________________________________   MARCH IN THE PARK MARCH 10, 2012 The Garden Club of Cape Coral sponsored their annual plant sale at Jaycee Park.  We were given a booth  to promote Hibiscus and our Chapter. We teamed up with Curt Sinclair of Exotic Hibiscus Nursery, who had the booth next to ours to sell Hibiscus Plants and Butterflies.   _____________________________________   SANIBEL FIELD TRIP MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2012 JEH members toured the Sanibel Moorings Gardens, followed by lunch at Traders, a visit to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation Native Plant Nursery, and a stop at JEH members, Gil and Helen Gillinsky's home.     DECEMBER 3, 2011 ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY We'd like to share some pictures with you from this year's Christmas Party, which was held at Famous Dave's. The food was delicious, our members brought fresh hibiscus blooms for our Christmas Tree, Mr. & Mrs Santa stopped by, there were gifts for everyone, Many people responded about what a great party it was.
